Karkhana Content Generation Team
Karkhana is an social business. It provides a co-curricular after-school program with a unique approach to learning. I worked as a Content Generator in Karkhana. My major responsibility in the team was to explore different ideas to generate new content, integrate new resources and ideas to existing content and to design the lesson plan of the content including all the resources for the teachers and the students. Throughout my time as a content generator, I prepared about 10 Lesson Plans and Generated and completed 1 completely new content.
Co-founder of Maker's and Coder's Club (Ullens School)
I am one of the founding members of the Maker's and Hacker's club in our school. This club was made by ma and my friends to establish a maker's space in our school, where we provide pieces of equipment and resources to other students to help in their innovation process. along with this, we realized that learning to use a simple computer has become an essential skill in the 21st Century and not all students have the privilege of computer science lessons. So we giving computer science workshops to other schools with underprivileged students too.
Co-teacher of Karkhana Momasur Session
I taught as the lead instructor in 2 classes and the co-teacher in the other 6 classes at a class called Momosaur held in Karkhana. In this class, the students were provided with a problem statement which they had to solve within the session. Throughout the session, the students learned woodworking, critical thinking, and acting. My responsibilities were to make the lesson plans for the session, collect the materials required for each class for the session, to make sure the kids were safe, and to make sure that the students were having a rich learning experience.
Conduction of UMSMUN
I have conducted a MUN along with my friends where we delegated students who had never had a MUN Experience before. As the students were completely new to MUN we did everything from giving several MUN workshops to the delegates to setting and managing the venue. I also chaired a committee which added other responsibilities like preparing the study guides, guiding the delegates in the formal sessions and running the committee smoothly(which was very hard as all the delegates were first-timers)
Delegate in Several MUNs
I have taken part in 3 MUNs as a delegate of different countries to debate on ongoing issues of the world and come to an understanding with other delegates to solve the problem. These MUNs helped me build up my public speaking confidence, increased my knowledge and interest in different global events and issues and taught me to fearlessly portray my views and perspectives on different matters. I have also been awarded two different titles in these MUNs.
